Preparing for the biology ap exam with biology eighth edition

In the introduction, the eight units of biology are identified, and the six science skills are given. Students are expected to develop a strong foundation in biology, as well as grow experimental, scientific, mathematical, and analytic skills.

The second part of the book includes a complete mathematical section. In this section, each formula given on the AP Biology formula sheet is discussed with examples for students. There has been a large transition to mathematical skills as a major focus in the curriculum. The section has been updated with the College Board revisions. The third part of the book consists of a brief synapsis of the recommended laboratory program. There are thirteen recommended labs that are explained in this section.

Fifteen multiple-choice questions have been added to review the laboratory investigations. The fourth part of the book consists of chapters for each of the eight units of biology. Each biology unit is broken down into sections of review materials with twenty multiple-choice and four free-response practice questions at the end of each chapter. The questions will demand biological knowledge, data analysis, or science practice. The fifth part of the book consists of three sample exams simulating the current College Board Advanced Placement Biology Examination with sixty multiple-choice questions, two long free-response questions, and four short free-response questions.

There is a formula sheet to use with the practice exams that has been modified to reflect the College Board AP Biology revisions. Student answer keys for all multiple-choice questions are separately packaged. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
